Ensuring the success of New Zealand Fashion Week is a crowd of designers, photographers, models, and international guests.
Fashion week begins the way it intends to continue with flowing champagne at the Mercedes-Benz VIP party. Followed is one of the countries most reputable labels, Zambesi, opening with the first walk. Keep an eye out for the likes of Anna-Lee Sharma, Steve Dunstan, and Ben Dundas sitting front row.
Complementary martinis aside, Fashion Week is about designers attracting new clients and gaining as much media attention possible. They’re looking to create gram-able moments so have your iPhone at the ready because this is where the true weight of your social following comes into play.
Dressing me throughout the week was Auckland-based menswear brand French83. Specialising in made-to-measure tailoring, it’s clear the importance of quality isn’t overlooked by 83.
For the New Zealand Fashion Week opening I wore French83’s slim fit Sigmund Jacket.
Adhering to the true essence of smart-casual, the Sigmund Jacket has been carefully considered and designed to the very last detail. What does this mean for us guys?
Less to worry about.
No longer shall we stress about lose threads, useless pockets and a restricted fit. The Sigmund invites you to sit back and enjoy the simplicity in it’s functionality.
You’ll be ready for anything with plenty of interior pockets to store daily essentials and it’s been fully lined with those cooler evenings in mind.
Keeping in line with my daily-wear approach, I paired the Sigmund jacket with a simple white tee, black jeans, and a pair of Adidas sneakers.
French83 merges comfort with notable quality to provide the modern man with liveable, functional pieces and the Sigmund jacket represents just that.
